Hello again! August 2022 Here I make 冰糖银耳炖雪梨

It has been a long while from the last post. I've decided to write the blog again after went thru some life events such as dating, wedding, gave birth, family, sabbatical etc. Pretty much things happened right? Even the last 3 years, the world suffered the pandemic, life lost, affected health, economic recession and beginning of the year..war. Life can be seen as bad, but nevertheless, we want to be hopeful for better tomorrow. And resume the blog here, help me to remember how I have live my life too and be thankful for every encounter I have.

Last few weeks after my whole family (3 of us) down with sickness and in the journey of recovery, I cooked this pear with snow fungus soup (冰糖银耳炖雪梨), it helps me and my family to strengthen our lung, improving blood flow, after recovery from the illness. This is a pretty simple recipe, I just need 1 pear (梨) , snow fungus (银耳), red dates (红枣), goji berries (枸杞) and rock sugar (冰糖) to prepare this soup. I bought all dried ingredients from this seller/shop from Shopee (https://click.accesstra.de/go/OC4fteSx), it was convenience to me at that time, otherwise I would need to travel to their shop which is located at Puchong.
To cook this soup, will need to soak the snow fungus for over night and cut into small pieces once done. Cut the pear into slices, and put all ingredients into the rice cooker pot, wait till it boil and simmer for an hour, after that to cool down and drink. Most of the time, I love to use rice cooker to cook soup because I do not need to keep watch the fire LOL.
After drinking this soup, our cough and throat irritation were getting lesser, and a week later, all gone. That is awesome. Of course, besides this, we still need to keep up by doing exercise and consume supplements as per advice.
